Sensible-VR believes educational technology and the information surrounding it should be usable by as many people as possible. We design the website with accessibility in mind and continue to improve it as the production site grows.
Accessibility practices
Screen readers
Semantic HTML, labels, headings, and meaningful image alternatives are used to support assistive technologies.
Contrast
The design system uses readable contrast and avoids relying on colour alone to communicate meaning.
Typography
Readable type sizes, line heights, and responsive layouts support comfortable reading across devices.
Focus
Visible focus states help keyboard users identify the currently active control.
Reduced motion
Animations and transitions are designed to respect the operating system reduced-motion preference.
1. Our approach
We are working toward a website that follows Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as our accessibility target. Accessibility is considered alongside SEO, performance, and responsive design as the production site develops.
2. Ongoing improvement
Accessibility is not treated as a one-time checklist. New pages and features can introduce new barriers, so the site should continue to be reviewed with keyboard testing, automated checks, contrast review, responsive testing, and representative assistive-technology testing where practical.
3. Known limitations
Some content, third-party media, older documents, or features still under development may not yet meet every accessibility objective. We will prioritise issues that prevent users from accessing important information or completing important tasks.
4. Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us what page or feature caused the problem, what technology you were using if relevant, and what you were trying to do. This information helps us investigate and improve the experience.
