The English Language Learning library uses immersive situations to give learners meaningful contexts in which to practise and understand English. Rather than learning vocabulary in isolation, students encounter language within everyday situations, helping connect words, meaning and context in a focused environment designed for individual learning.
About this library
English Language Learning is a Sensible-VR learning library, rather than a separate external partner organisation. It brings everyday situations into language learning so that words can be considered alongside the places and activities that give them meaning. Educators can use a scene as a prompt for naming objects, describing what is happening or preparing a conversation. Learners can then return to classroom speaking, listening, reading or writing with a common context to draw on. The aim is to make the situation part of the lesson, not to replace the teacher or the broader language programme.
